How long does shipping take?
UK orders: usually 2–3 working days after dispatch.
USA orders: usually 5–7 working days after dispatch.

Do US customers pay customs or duty fees?
For US customers — all customs and import duties are fully covered by Toks Natural. Your shipping fee is the only charge you will pay. There are no hidden fees, no surprise charges at the door, and nothing extra owed on delivery. What you see at checkout is exactly what you pay.
Can I change or cancel my order?
If your order has not yet been dispatched, contact us as soon as possible — ideally within one hour of placing it. Once an order has been shipped, we are unable to make changes. Please double check your delivery address before completing your order.
My order says delivered but I have not received it.
Please first check around your property, with neighbours or household members, and contact your local delivery carrier with your tracking number.
If you still cannot locate your parcel after doing this, please contact us with your order number and we will investigate.
Do you offer refunds?
Due to hygiene reasons, opened or used hair care products are generally non-refundable unless covered under our money back guarantee. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos and we will resolve it promptly.
Products & Ingredients
What our products are made for, ingredient transparency, and product suitability.
Are Toks Natural products suitable for all hair types?
Our range was built around the needs of curly, coily, kinky and textured hair — and that remains the heart of what we do. However, many of our products, particularly our hair growth oils, scalp treatments and hair masks, are used by people across all hair types and ethnicities.
If you are unsure which products are right for your hair, take our free hair quiz for a personalised recommendation.
Are your products handmade?
Yes. All Toks Natural products are made in small batches by Winnifred — a registered nurse and Ayurvedic hair care formulator. Every batch is carefully crafted with selected ingredients for consistency and quality.
Are your products natural?
We combine Ayurvedic botanical ingredients, herbal infusions, cold-pressed oils, and modern cosmetic science to create effective products for textured hair care. We believe in full ingredient transparency — you will always know what is in your products.
Are your products vegan?
Many of our products are vegan-friendly. Please check each individual product page for full ingredient details.
Are your products safe for coloured, relaxed, or chemically treated hair?
Yes — many of our products are suitable for natural, coloured, relaxed, and protective-styled hair. We always recommend patch testing before full use if you have a sensitive scalp or have recently undergone a chemical treatment.
Do your products contain sulfates?
Many of our cleansing products are sulfate-free or formulated to cleanse without leaving the hair feeling stripped. Please check individual product pages for full ingredient details.
Do your products contain silicones?
No. Toks Natural products do not contain silicones. We focus on botanical ingredients, herbal infusions, plant oils, and conditioning ingredients that support moisture, softness, and manageability without silicone buildup.
Can I see the full formula or recipe?
We list key ingredients and important product information on our product pages. Full formulations and proprietary recipes are not publicly disclosed. Like many established beauty brands, our formulas are part of our intellectual property and represent years of research and development.
Why do your products vary slightly in colour or texture?
Because many of our ingredients are naturally derived, slight changes in colour, texture, or scent may occur from batch to batch. This is completely normal and does not affect the quality or effectiveness of the product.

Our commitment to you — and what you need to know before making a claim.
What is your money back guarantee?
We stand behind our products with a genuine money back guarantee. We offer two levels of cover depending on the product:
90-Day Money Back Guarantee
- Applies to all hair growth oils and bundles that contain a hair growth oil
- Gives you three full months to use the product consistently and assess your results
60-Day Money Back Guarantee
- Applies to all other Toks Natural products
- Gives you two full months to use the product and assess your results
How do I make a guarantee claim?
To be eligible for a money back guarantee claim, you must meet all of the following conditions:
- You must have used the product consistently throughout the full guarantee period
- You must have taken a timestamped before photo before your very first use
- You must have kept weekly records showing consistent use over the full period
- You must have purchased enough product to cover the full guarantee period — one bottle is not sufficient for a 90-day claim
- Claims must be submitted after the full guarantee period has ended, within 30 days of the guarantee expiring
To make a claim, contact us at hello@toksnatural.com with your order number, before photo, and usage records.
Are there any exclusions to the guarantee?
Yes. The following are not covered under our money back guarantee:
- Scarred areas or follicles that are permanently damaged — regrowth is not possible where no active follicles remain
- Claims submitted without a timestamped before photo
- Claims where the product was not used consistently throughout the full guarantee period
- Claims submitted outside the 30-day window after the guarantee period ends
Why do you offer such a long guarantee?
Because we are confident our products work. Hair growth is a slow process that requires consistency. We offer the guarantee to give hesitant customers the confidence to commit to a full routine without fear of wasting their money. In practice, the vast majority of customers who use our products consistently come back to reorder — not to claim a refund.
Hair Growth Questions
Honest answers about growth, breakage, edges, and consistency.
Do your products grow hair?
Hair growth is influenced by genetics, diet, stress, hormones, health, scalp care, and consistency. Our products are designed to support a healthier hair and scalp environment — improving moisture retention, reducing breakage, supporting scalp health, and encouraging healthier-looking hair over time. We believe in honest hair education, not unrealistic promises.
How long does it take to see results?
Consistency matters more than anything. Some customers notice improvements in softness, scalp health, or reduced shedding within a few weeks. Visible length retention and growth results typically take 8–12 weeks of consistent use. Hair grows approximately half an inch per month — patience is essential.
Why is my hair not growing?
Most of the time the issue is not that hair is not growing — it is that hair is breaking faster than length can be retained. Common causes include:
- Dryness and lack of moisture
- Excessive heat styling
- Tight hairstyles causing tension
- Poor detangling technique
- Scalp neglect and buildup
- Over-manipulation
- Nutritional deficiencies
Can oils alone grow hair?
No — and we will always be honest about this. Oils support the scalp and hair but they are not magic solutions on their own. Healthy hair growth requires a full routine: consistent moisture, gentle handling, scalp care, a balanced diet, and protective styling practices. Our products are designed to be part of a complete routine — not a standalone miracle.
Can your products help with thinning edges or bald spots?
Our Growth Revive Herbal Hair Oil and Thick Root Hair Growth Serum are formulated to support follicle stimulation and reduce thinning. Many customers have seen improvement in thinning areas and edges with consistent use. However, if hair loss is due to a medical condition such as alopecia areata or permanently scarred follicles, we recommend consulting a dermatologist alongside using our products. Our products work best where active follicles are still present.
Can your products help with traction alopecia?
Traction alopecia is caused by repeated tension on the follicles from tight styles such as braids, locs, and ponytails. Our Growth Revive Oil and Hair Growth Serum can support follicle stimulation in early to mid-stage traction alopecia where follicles are still active. In cases where follicles have been permanently scarred, regrowth may not be possible. We always recommend reducing tension on the hair alongside product use.
What helps with thinning edges?
Edges become stressed from tight wigs, braids, ponytails, excessive tension, and poor scalp care. Reducing tension, improving scalp care, being consistent with a targeted oil or serum, and avoiding styles that pull on the hairline are all important for restoring healthier-looking edges.
Natural Hair Care
Simple answers for common curly, coily, kinky, and textured hair concerns.
How often should I wash my hair?
This depends on your scalp condition, lifestyle, and product usage. Many people with textured hair wash every 1–3 weeks. If your scalp feels itchy, heavily coated, or uncomfortable before that, it may be time for a cleanse. Scalp health should guide your wash day frequency — not a fixed schedule.
Is grease bad for natural hair?
Not necessarily. A properly formulated grease can help seal moisture, reduce friction, protect the hair, and support length retention. The key is using the right amount within a balanced routine. Our Chebe Hair Grease is specifically formulated with Ayurvedic herbs to nourish and protect without the heavy buildup associated with old-fashioned petroleum grease.
Why does my hair still feel dry after using oil?
Oil does not add moisture — it seals it. If your hair is already dry, adding oil will just seal in the dryness. Hair needs water-based hydration first. Apply a water-based leave-in conditioner to damp hair, then seal with an oil or butter to lock in that moisture. This is the foundation of the LOC method — Liquid, Oil, Cream.
Should I oil my scalp every day?
Not always. Over-oiling the scalp can cause buildup for some people. How often you oil depends on your scalp condition, hair type, and the products being used. Start with 2–3 times per week and adjust based on how your scalp responds.
What causes scalp buildup?
Common causes include excess product use, infrequent washing, sweat, dead skin cells, and heavy layering of products. Our Herbal Scalp Detox Mask is specifically designed to remove buildup and restore a cleaner, healthier scalp environment without stripping.
What is porosity and why does it matter?
Porosity refers to how easily your hair absorbs and retains moisture. Low porosity hair tends to resist moisture absorption — products sit on top rather than penetrating. High porosity hair absorbs moisture quickly but also loses it quickly. Understanding your porosity helps you choose the right products and application methods for your hair.
Are protective styles always protective?
Not always. Styles that are too tight, too heavy, or left in for too long can create significant stress on the scalp and hairline — leading to traction alopecia, breakage, and thinning edges. A truly protective style should protect the hair — not damage it. Tension at the hairline is always a warning sign.
How To Use Our Products
Basic guidance for oils, grease, masks, shampoo bars, and conditioning bars.
How do I use the Hair Growth Oil?
Apply a small amount directly to the scalp in sections and massage gently for 3–5 minutes to stimulate circulation. Use 2–3 times per week for best results. You can also apply a small amount to the ends of your hair as a finishing oil. Less is more — start with a few drops and increase as needed.
Can I use the Hair Growth Oil every day?
Yes, if it works well for your scalp. Some people prefer using it several times a week instead. Listen to your scalp — if you experience buildup or greasiness, reduce frequency.
How do I use the Hair Growth Grease?
Apply a small amount to moisturised hair or scalp. Focus on sealing moisture and protecting dry or rough areas. A little goes a long way — start with a small amount and build up if needed.
How do I use the Herbal Hair Mask?
Apply generously to damp hair after cleansing, working from root to tip. Leave on for 15–30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Use once every 1–2 weeks as part of your wash day routine for best results.
What is the difference between a leave-in conditioner and a deep conditioner?
A leave-in conditioner is a lightweight product applied to damp hair after washing and left in — it moisturises, detangles, and protects throughout the day. A deep conditioner is a heavier treatment applied for 15–30 minutes to intensely nourish and repair. They serve different purposes and should not be used interchangeably. Our Moisture Boost Leave-In Conditioner is not a deep conditioner and should not be used as one.
How do I use the shampoo bar?
Wet your hair thoroughly. Rub the bar between your hands or directly onto the scalp to create a lather. Massage into the scalp and rinse thoroughly. Follow with a conditioner. Store the bar in a dry place between uses — never leave it sitting in water.
How often should I use the Herbal Scalp Detox Mask?
We recommend using it once every 2–4 weeks as part of your wash day routine. Apply to the scalp in sections, leave for 15–30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly before shampooing. Do not leave on longer than recommended and do not use more frequently than needed — over-cleansing can cause dryness.
Kids Hair Care
Gentle guidance for children's textured hair routines.
Are your kids products safe for children?
Yes. Our Gentle Roots Kids collection is specially formulated for younger hair and scalps and is safe for children aged 3 and above. Our adult products contain more concentrated herbal actives and are not recommended for young children. Always keep all hair care products out of reach of children and avoid contact with eyes.
From what age can my child use the Kids Hair Growth Oil?
Our Kids Hair Growth Oil and the full Gentle Roots Kids range are suitable for children from 3 years old. If your child is younger than 3, please consult your paediatrician before use.
My child has a dry, flaky scalp — what should I use?
Our Kids Hair Growth Oil is ideal for dry, flaky scalps in children. Apply a small amount to the scalp and massage gently 2–3 times per week. Pair with our Gentle Roots Kids Shampoo for a gentle cleanse that does not strip natural moisture. If the condition is severe or persistent, we recommend consulting a paediatrician or dermatologist.
Can adults use the kids products?
Yes. Some adults with sensitive scalps prefer our gentler kids formulations. They are safe for adult use.
Sensitive Scalp & Allergies
Patch testing, scalp sensitivity, and fragrance questions.
What if I have a sensitive scalp?
Many of our customers with sensitive scalps use our products with great results. We always recommend doing a patch test before applying any new product to your scalp. If you experience any irritation, discontinue use immediately and contact us.
How do I patch test?
Apply a small amount of product to a small area of skin — the inside of your wrist or behind your ear works well. Leave for 24–48 hours without washing. If no irritation occurs, the product should be safe for full use on your hair and scalp.
Are your products fragrance free?
Some products contain essential oils or fragrance components as part of their formulation. Please check the ingredient list on each individual product page for full details.
Pregnancy & Postpartum
Using Toks Natural products safely during and after pregnancy.
Are your products safe to use during pregnancy?
Our products are topical and designed for external use on the hair and scalp only. However, we always recommend consulting your doctor or midwife before introducing any new products during pregnancy, as individual circumstances vary and some essential oils are not recommended during pregnancy. If you have concerns about specific ingredients, please contact us and we will advise further.
I am experiencing postpartum hair loss — can your products help?
Postpartum hair loss is very common and is caused by hormonal changes after birth — not a problem with your hair or scalp. Most postpartum hair loss resolves naturally within 6–12 months as hormones regulate. Our Growth Revive Herbal Hair Oil and Hair Growth Serum can help support a healthier scalp environment during this time and may help reduce the appearance of thinning. A nutritious diet and managing stress levels are equally important during postpartum recovery.
Can I use your products while breastfeeding?
Our products are applied topically to the hair and scalp and are not ingested. However, as with pregnancy, we recommend checking with your healthcare provider if you have any specific concerns about ingredients during breastfeeding.
Advice & Education
Our approach to hair education, routines, and DIY questions.
Can you recommend a routine for me?
The best routine depends on your hair condition, scalp health, styling habits, and goals — which is why we built our free hair quiz. Take the quiz and get a personalised Toks Natural routine recommendation in under 2 minutes. Take the hair quiz here →
Why do you focus so much on scalp care?
Because healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp. The scalp is where the hair follicle lives — if the scalp is blocked with buildup, inflamed, or nutrient-deprived, hair growth is compromised no matter what you put on your lengths. Scalp-first is not just our tagline — it is the foundation of everything we formulate.
Do you share DIY recipes or formulations?
No. Toks Natural is a professional hair care brand — not a DIY formulation page. While we educate our community about ingredients, hair care science, and Ayurvedic practices, we do not publicly share our proprietary formulas, manufacturing processes, or supplier information.
Our formulations are developed by Winnifred, a registered nurse with specialist knowledge in Ayurvedic hair care. They represent years of research, testing, and refinement. This is our intellectual property and we protect it.
Who formulates Toks Natural products?
All Toks Natural products are formulated by Winnifred — the founder of Toks Natural and a registered nurse with over a decade of clinical experience. Her nursing background gives her a deep understanding of biology, skin and scalp health, and ingredient science. Every product is developed with both efficacy and safety as the priority.
